Accomplishing the difficult trick of being simultaneously teen-savvy and terrifically sweet, carried along on its director's usual generosity of spirit, it deserves to be a huge hit.
Full reviewThe tween market is unstoppable and they've now got another movie (aimed squarely at their parent's wallets) coming to a big screen near you. Based on a successful series of books, Georgia is a fourteen year old Indian girl who has parents that don't get her, a little sister that annoys her, doesn't like the way she looks and wishes she had a boyfriend. All the wacky hi-jinks and good old-fashioned adolescent angst that a PG rating will allow are told through entries into her diary, including the trials and tribulations of learning to kiss. Queen of Indian cross over comedies like Bend It Like Beckham, Gurinder Chadha is in the director's chair.
