Review: Casino Royale (2006)
Bond is back and brutalOut with suave, debonair, hair-never-out-of-place Brosnan Bond and in with mean, gritty, hair-wouldn't-settle-on-his-head Craig Bond.
Should a guy who looks like a bad guy be Bond? Well luckily they make Mads Mikkelsen really evil-looking so Craig kind of gets away with his mad steely blues and acerbic one-liners.
On the whole, it's just great to see Bond back where he always belonged - in the spy genre, not in the action-spectacle genre. The film's pacing is too mixed to make this an outstanding movie, but it was worth the $15, and the best Bond since the sixties.
