Crimson Peak

Review: Crimson Peak

Comedy of Horrors

Crimson Peak is a solid movie, which portrays some familiar faces in a new light. Just like the novel Enid had written in the film, the movie wasn't a ghost story, it was a love story with ghosts in it. Unfortunately other than a few flinch-worthy moments the more gruesome and dark parts of the story came across, in my opinion, as more funny than scary. Even though Jessica Chastain's acting was on point, the overall feel for the movie made it hard for me to take her seriously. All up, probably worth watching at least once in your life.
