Review: Dracula Untold
Dracula UntoldStick with Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 film. This forgettable untold Dracula origin story is rather dull. The Transylvanian prince Vlad Tepes, played by Fast & Furious 6 villain and Hobbit star Luke Evans, is threatened by Mehmed the Conqueror, who demands 1000 boys to join his army, including Vlad's son. Vlad makes a deal with Caligula, an ancient demon who gives him super strength and the power to turn into a swarm of bats. Vlad uses his powers to defeat Mehmed's army, while having to resist the urge to drink blood. Dracula Untold takes itself way too seriously. The film wants you to be emotionally involved in these characters, and I just didn't care. Fortunately, Dracula Untold is only 92 minutes long. I have no interest in a sequel. This movie sucks.
