The title Fast and Furious should some how not be mentioned. That franchise has long lost its car racing beginnings. Sadly. Hobbs and Shaw should could have been way funnier, could have had more action, could have had a better cast! The duo ARE great together, but just could have been better. Bummer

Vulture
pressIt turns out that whittling the series' rapidly bulging dramatis personae down to two guys who hate each other can be strangely liberating.

Variety
pressFan favorites Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham milk the friction between their characters while teaming up to save the world in this gratuitously over-the-top spinoff.

Stuff
pressSo good on ya', Hobbs and Shaw, you did what the trailer promised and more – you didn't stint on the action or effects and you sent this hack home happy enough to have watched you. I couldn't really ask for more.

Rolling Stone
pressJohnson and Statham keep the action and laughs spinning. The problem is they keep repeating them - stunt, banter, stunt - until they wear out their welcome.

Newshub
pressIt will never bring about world peace or end poverty, but it might just deliver a few hours distraction from how bloody long, cold and miserable winter can be.

FilmInk
pressIt's neither particularly fast nor furious, but it's a goofy good time if you can settle into its boofhead charms.
