A deliriously trashy, exuberantly vulgar, lavishly appointed exploitation picture...
Full reviewFrequent collaborators Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez (Grindhouse, Four Rooms) created this mid-'90s cult hit that flips from an intense crime thriller to a wacky action horror.
George Clooney and Tarantino are bank-robbing brothers Seth and Richard Gecko. After a messy heist, they take a hostage and head for the Mexican border. When they happen upon a family and their RV, they force them to help cross over to Mexico, with Seth promising to release them afterwards. But just when everything appears to go smoothly, a stop at the bikers bar Titty Twister shoves their plans into the grinder.
This was the film to take Clooney from TV heart-throb to cinema leading man. The following year, he went on to star in the film that shall not be named.

Full reviewThe movie's horror-comics second half is cheesy, derivative, and ultimately a little wearying. But it's also unpretentious and insanely cheerful.
Full reviewA skillful meat-and-potatoes action extravaganza with some added neat touches.
