Reviews & comments
More of the same, what was it about again !
I came in late and missed 5 minutes of the beginning not exactly relevant to my review . Its the type of movie you'll watch and enjoy as you munch on your popcorn but will be hard pressed to remember the plot the following day. Not much of Jack Black which is disappointing and the CGI is seriously hokey it's funny.

Vulture
pressIt replicates the template and the atmosphere of the original, but it lacks invention and emotional investment.

Variety
press"Goosebumps 2" isn't a movie, exactly - it's a piñata of effects posing as a movie. By the end, there's nothing to do but sweep up the pieces.

The Times
pressIt's pointless and bland. Like a bargain-basement Jumanji. The Z-list cast struggle.

The New York Times
pressA movie to leave playing in the background of a child's birthday party.

Hollywood Reporter
pressIt should please younger fans of the books who will have no problem with its rudimentary storyline all too repetitive of the original. But it does feel like a missed opportunity to elevate the valuable franchise to bigger and more imaginative heights.

FilmInk
pressWhile not the equal of its predecessor, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is a worthy follow-up.
