Hall Pass

The new comedy from the Farrelly brothers (There's Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber, Me, Myself & Irene).

Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis from TV's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are best buds, both been married for many years. But when signs of restlessness appear at home, their wives (Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalising their individual marriages: they grant them a 'hall pass'. At first, it sounds like a dream come true. But it isn’t long before Rick and Fred discover their horndog expectations of the single life are out of sync with reality.

The slapstick and action comedy interludes are haphazardly executed at best, and matters aren't helped by the film's incredibly ugly look.

Not up there with the Farrelly brothers' classics, but still a worthwhile, farcical comedy.
