Full reviewAn Australian psychological drama based on a short story by Raymond Carver (which Robert Altman also used in Short Cuts).
Laura Linney and Gabriel Byrne play an unhappy couple in the Australian town of Jindabyne. When Byrne and his fishing buddies discover the body of a murdered Aboriginal woman in the river, they decide not to let it interfere with their weekend, and only report it on the Sunday night. The police are appalled at their irresponsibility and Linney becomes horrified as she learns a dark side of her husband.
