Kick-Ass 2

Matthew Vaughn's stylized, ultra-violent Kick-Ass is the coolest superhero movie I've ever seen, so of course I was excited for the sequel. I absolutely loved Kick-Ass 2. Even though it's nowhere near as good as the first, there's a lot of things in Kick-Ass 2 that really kicked ass. Chloe Moretz is amazing as Mindy Macready AKA Hit-Girl, trying to live her life as a normal girl at her first high school. Jim Carrey takes on a more serious role as Colonel Stars & Stripes, an ex-mafia turned superhero vigilante and leader of Justice Forever, a league of real-life superheroes who are inspired by Kick-Ass. Carrey steals every scene he's in. Christopher Mintz-Plasse was very funny as The Motherf**ker, seeking revenge on Kick-Ass for the death of his father. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is also great as Dave Lizewski AKA Kick-Ass. Jeff Wadlow's direction isn't as slick like Matthew Vaughn's with the first movie. It's action-packed, hilarious and undeniably entertaining. The humour in Kick-Ass 2 is very crass. I feel ashamed of myself for laughing so hard at the vomit and diarrhea joke. 28% on Rotten Tomatoes is such bullsh*t. I really don't understand why critics hated it so much. Kick-Ass 2 is the best superhero movie of 2013.
