Queen Latifah finally gets a vehicle that gives her formidable talents and expansive spirit plenty of blooming room.
Full reviewGeorgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) is a wanna-be chef who sells cookware in New Orleans, when she's informed by those in the know that she's got four months to live. She thinks 'stuff this' and embarks on a dream holiday vacation to a grand resort in Europe. There, with nothing to lose, she underes a metamorphosis. Her shy persona bubbles up into a new, un-inhibited, self - determined to make her final days a fun-a-rama. This is a remake of the 1950s English comedy starring Alec Guiness.

To describe the plot is to miss the point, because this plot could have been made into countless movies not as funny and charming as this one.
Full reviewQueen Latifah lifts her game after the disastrous Taxi and average Beauty Shop, stealing the show with a warm and surprisingly engaging performance in this run of the mill tragi-romantic comedy....
