Little

A tech mogul (Regina Hall, Girls Trip) gets the chance to relive the life of her younger self (played by Black-ish's Marsai Martin) in this comedy from the producer of Girls Trip and Night School.

Just before a do-or-die presentation, Jordan (Hall) awakens as a 13-year-old version of herself in her adult self's penthouse. Her assistant April (Issa Rae, TV's Insecure) is the only one who knows that her boss is now trapped in an awkward tween body, just as everything is on the line.

While truly inspired laughs are in short supply here, Little avoids feeling too secondhand thanks to its central black characters, women who freshen up a tired formula.

Either choose to dwell on Little's formulaic storyline, or be charmed by the confident comedic performances of its three stars. One will lead to an infinitely more fun time at the movies.
