Flicks, Team
flicksIn the year that saw Wall-E set a new standard for animated features, this seems so uninspired by comparison. Much like its averagely entertaining predecessor, this knockabout sequel is a production line kids’ caper, crisply animated but blighted by too much schmaltz joining the dots between the funny bits.
The penguines are the real stars
I saw its yesterday in the Imax Auckland, and yeah what should I say, maybe awesome (with O) is right word to describe it best. The movie should be known as "Madagascar Madagascar" because the name is so nice you say it twice. (Insider). So folks go to the cinema, and if you can watch it in the Imax its every cent worth !

Variety
pressLively and quite funny without being obnoxious, this follow-up smoothly mixes the original's New York Zoo escapees with a number of engaging new characters.

Film Threat
pressLet’s not lose sight of what's really been accomplished here. Alex and Marty – just like Batman and Robin, Fred and Barney, and Snagglepuss – are welcome additions to the gay animation pantheon.
