Minions

Animated laugher, following the history of the little minions from Despicable Me. At the dawn of time, starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Stronger on concept than story, Brian Lynch’s Minions script emphasizes scale over quantity.

A spin-off so busy, witty and all-round entertaining you won't have time to pine for the absent Steve Carell.

The Minions have busted out of the 'Despicable Me' franchise and gone rogue in this berserk slice of slapstick silliness.

The story [lacks] a clear narrative or emotional throughline to connect all of the film’s setpieces.

Fast, frenetic, gleefully silly fun is the order of the day here.

Farty, burpy, fall-y over fun tied to a pretty inconsequential plot. Your kids will explode with joy.

I love these yellow, non-understandable and indestructible tic-tacs! But as a movie on their own. Um... not so much. Sure they're still funny but they lack any real depth to their character. Unfortunately character alone doesn't make a good movie. If your age is in single digits then this is the movie for you. Meemoo me maa maa kaputoo, Meh!

Felt like a elongated short film that should have played at the beginning of one of the Despicable Me movies. Some fun cute parts but overall the story felt a little thin.

Some funny moments for the adults. In the vein of the Penguins, the story line was a little weak, however more enjoyable than the Penguins movie. Four stars because the kids liked it.

The kids movies these days are just not the same as they use to be! Lion King, Toy Story, Pocahontas... Minions, unfortunately won't be making this animated movie wall of fame. A few laughs here and there and famous voices throughout made for a slightly entertaining 100 minutes. Kids will enjoy, adults not so much.

Minions Kinda like ‘Year One’ with yellow heads. Did you like the ‘Despicable Me’ series? Well, this is kinda nothing like them, apart from it has Minions in it. Fun for the kids to watch, but I felt for the most part the Minions and story just weren’t enough for me. Genre : Children, adventure, 3/5 : Lacked a better storyline, sure some people will say...
