Playmobil the movie

This .movie was boring I was trying to sleep cause it was that boring but I do like some parts in it Daniel Radcliffe did a good job and so did the rest.

There's a plot in there somewhere, but most of the time it's subsumed by a frenetic attempt to showcase the whole Playmobil range in an extended kinetic eruption of primal sound and primary colour.

An hour in, barely past the halfway point, I played my once-a-year walkout card – and left. To my absolute delight, the two other people at the screening followed me out, leaving Playmobil: The Movie screaming alone in to the void of an empty cinema. Which is exactly what it deserves.

This is a film that exists because it has to exist - it has no interest in justifying itself any further.

Disappointingly, it is a borderline dopey, sentimental children's adventure mostly without the wit and spark that converted grownups and kids to the Lego films.

Lino DiSalvo's hyperactive film never transcends its blatant product-flogging purpose.

It's safe to say that anyone who has already reached double digits will find little to enjoy in this generic and lifeless promotional tool...

It feels like exactly what it is: an ugly, interminable, devoid-of-substance advert.

Maybe it's fitting Playmobil: The Movie is old-fashioned, stiff and only suitable for those between the ages of four and ten, but it sure isn't much fun.

Bland variations on familiar themes... leave Playmobil -The Movie in need of some of the adventurous spirit that it so relentlessly advocates.
