I thought the basic situation in "The Bodyguard" was intriguing enough to sustain a film all by itself...
Full review1992's hot and steamy romantic drama with Kevin Costner as a former Secret Service agent who grudgingly takes an assignment to protect Whitney Huston, a pop idol who's threatened by a crazed fan. The Bodyguard was second biggest box office hit of 1992 (raking in $USD 411 worldwide), helped in part by Huston's number one hit I Will Always Love You, recorded for the film.

Full reviewThe Bodyguard is an outrageous piece of saccharine kitsch — or, at least, it might have been had the movie seemed fully awake.
