The Dark Crystal

The Dark Crystal

(1982)

Another world, another time... in the Age of Wonder.

From the Muppety mind of the great Jim Henson, a fantasy adventure utilising puppet and special effect wizardy (state of the art, for 1982). On a distant planet in the distant past, a Gelfling alien embarks on a quest to find the missing shard of a magical crystal in the hopes of restoring order to his world. This essential fantasy film is notable also for having no human characters.
