The Muppets Take Manhattan

The Muppets Take Manhattan

1984's very Muppety family musical starring Kermit and his pals as they journey to New York with the hope of making it big on Broadway.

Fresh out of college, the Muppets head to New York to pitch their musical 'Manhattan Melodies'. All they need now is someone to produce their show, but noone wants a piece of it. It's up to Kermit (Jim Henson) to keep the dream alive and keep the gang - including the jealous Miss Piggy, would-be comedian Fozzie and hapless Gonzo - together.

This is the third Muppet movie and marks the solo directorial debut of Frank Oz (voice of Miss Piggy and Star Wars' Yoda, who would go on to direct Bowfinger and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels).

A genuinely fun confection of old-fashioned entertainment.

The fact that this plot is not original does not deter you, Kermit, nor should it. It's still a good plot.
