Entertaining but unsubtle satire on the moral confusions of a marketing/media-drive world.
Full reviewFrom the director of The Last Circus comes this Spanish comedy-drama about a washed-up advertising executive who trades his dignity for cash, exploiting his own bizarre and fatal predicament. Co-stars Salma Hayek.
Unemployed and broke, Roberto (José Mota) leaves another failed job interview and wanders lost through a construction site. He falls, landing on a steel rod which becomes partially impaled in his skull. Immobilised but still functioning, emergency services are at a loss on how to free him. As the accident generates a media circus, Roberto is struck by an idea: he can milk the situation, sell the TV exclusive and secure his family's future.
Also released under the title As Luck Would Have It.
