Set in South Dublin, this Irish drama follows golden boy Richard - an alpha-male teenager who has it all: he's handsome, from a well-off family, a promising young rugby player and is adored by many. But after a deadly, drunken encounter with his girlfriend’s ex, the lives of Richard and his family are shattered. Winner of Best Film at the 2012 Irish Film Awards. Loosely based on Kevin Power's 2008 novel Bad Day in Blackrock, a fictional account of the death Brian Murphy who died as a result of a violent assult outside a Dublin nightclub in 2000.
