How to watch Pluribus season 1 in New Zealand

Vince Gilligan’s latest is a bit of a mystery, but we’re intrigued.

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan returns to his beloved Albuquerque, New Mexico for a new drama series. This one has a science fiction twist, it seems. Or at least a fantastical one. It’s kind of hard to say at this juncture.

How to watch Pluribus season 1 in New Zealand

Pluribus season 1 is streaming in New Zealand exclusively on Apple TV+ from November 7, 2025, with a double episode premiere, followed by the subsequent seven episodes dropping weekly.

What is Pluribus season 1 about?

Excellent question! All we know so far is the series is set in a world ravaged by a virus that makes everyone perpetually content and optimistic. In (where else?) Albuquerque, New Mexico, one writer is immune, which sounds about right for a writer. So, it’s one depressed person trapped in a world of the unfeasibly chipper. Seems relatable.

The cast of Pluribus season 1

Rhea Seehorn is Carol Sturka, presumably our annoyed protagonist; Karolina Wydra is Zosia; Carlos Manuel Vesga is Manusos; and Miriam Shor is Helen.

Pluribus season 1 trailer

“Trailer” is being ridiculously generous. We’ve had an announcement video, plus a few snippets here and there that are big on tone and short on concrete narrative detail. But the vibe is interesting.

Why we’re excited about Pluribus season 1

Well, everyone loved Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, right? Landmark TV right there. And Rhea Seehorn was fantastic in Better Call Saul as Jimmy’s live interest, Kim Wexler, so it’s great to see her reteaming with showrunner and creator Vince Gilligan. All well and good, but…there’s not really enough info to make a firm judgement call, is there? This is being sold on Gilligan’s rep more than anything else, which is all well and good, but we’ll withhold making a call just yet. Still, we’re intrigued, and that’s something.
