We’re giving away a membership to Auckland Film Society that’ll let you see their excellent 2021 programme for free.
Update – entries are now closed and the winner has been contacted by email.
Each year Auckland Film Society screens a wide array of films ranging from crowdpleasers to classics and cinefile gems. This year’s programme gets off to an incendiary start on 8 March with Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, one of three Spike Lee films that will play this year.
Pioneering Māori filmmaker Merata Mita also figures in 2021’s selections, alongside some favourites from the NZ International Film Festival and a number of classic and cult films scattered throughout the year. There’s plenty to take in each Monday night at Academy Cinemas before 2021 wraps up with the Audrey Hepburn-starring classic Roman Holiday.
Check out the whole programme, and find out more about becoming a member. Although if you’re reading this, you probably want to check out the next bit, where we tell you how to win a membership…
