About the UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League 2024-2025 is the 70th season of Europe’s elite club football tournament hosted by the Union of Europe Football Association. This tournament, with its final match set to play to the hum and roar of Allianz Arena Munich in May 2025, will determine who is Europe’s football champions. Last year, Real Madrid won it, beating Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.

History of UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League began in 1955, called the European Cup. During this first historic season, sixteen teams participated. Real Madrid ruled the tournament, winning five consecutive seasons before arch-rivals Barcelona kicked them from the throne in the 1960-61 season.
