Based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, using the same greenscreen-heavy look of Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City (of which Miller also wrote) – 300 is a big, violent war epic revolving around the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army of 300 against the advancing Persians.
