Island of Lost Souls

Classic 1932 horror based on H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau. An obsessed scientist (a young Charles Laughton) conducts profane experiments in evolution, eventually establishing himself as the self-styled demigod to a race of mutated, half-human abominations.
