After a tense day of reflection and disclosure, Mira and
... More her husband Jonathan navigate the consequences of unexpected news.LessOscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain lead this limited series reworking of Ingmar Bergman's classic, a chronicle of the many years of love and turmoil that bind a contemporary American couple.
Beautiful people devolve into ugly, near-unbearably intimate arguments in this remake of the Ingmar Bergman miniseries. Isaac and Chastain should appear in a project together every few years for the rest of their lives.

Full reviewIt's a master class that deserves recognition, and both actors reach the depth required to sell the dialogue. I just wish the material was worthy of their talents.
Full reviewWatching Isaac and Chastain impressively tango, spar, and exchange carefully choreographed fireworks displays is enough of a reason to take in Scenes From a Marriage.
Full reviewIt's possible to admire the artistry and hard work that went into this production without feeling truly engaged by it, either emotionally or intellectually.
