Nutcase

This early short from Roger Donaldson is a sci-fi caper about a wacky gang threatening to detonate a nuclear bomb in Auckland. With the police out of the picture, will three kids be able to save the city from total destruction?

Evil Eva (Nevan Rowe, Sleeping Dogs) and her singing and dancing cronies are threatening to blow their enemies sky-high by reactivating the Rangitoto volcano with a nuclear device. The police are incapacitated, zonked out on the drugs Eva put in their coffee. Now a trio of kids and their home-made anti-gravity machine may be the city's only hope. Also stars Kiwi legends Ian Mune (Sleeping Dogs) and Ian Watkin (Braindead).
