The Americanization of Emily

(1964)

The great James Garner and Julie Andrews lead this comedic drama set during World War II about an American naval officer who, somehow, is able to live it up during wartime. That lifestyle is challenged however when, during the build-up to D-Day, he becomes love-struck. From screenwriting legend Paddy Chayefsky (who would go on to write Network amongst others).
