The Legend of Baron To’a

Review: The Legend of Baron To’a

Pro wrestling with a pacific twist

The lead character fritz would certainly be a head turner in most neighbourhoods, but definitely in this cul de sac in south Auckland. The only son of the legend that is baron to’a is not quite what you’d expect, an intellectual more than a wrestling convert.
A definite thorn in the side of the local cop excellently portrayed by Xavier Horan of outrageous fortune fame.
Essentially a homecoming film for the story’s main character, and a love story and with an underlying message of don’t judge a book by its cover.
If you love the pageantry of pro wrestling you’ll probably love this sometimes violent and confronting and sometimes funny and nostalgic film.
