How to watch The Bear season 4 in New Zealand
So many culinary puns to choose from, the decision paralysis is real.

It seems that the powers that be have been cooking up another season of culinary drama The Bear, and they’re about ready to plate it up for audiences hungry for a show they can really sink their teeth into (I’ll try to keep these to a minimum, I promise).
How to watch The Bear season 4 in New Zealand
The Bear season 4 is streaming in New Zealand exclusively on Disney+ from June 26, 2025, with all 10 episodes dropping at once, like a crate of flatware on the kitchen floor.
What is The Bear season 4 about?
Food! And family. And the price of perfection. And healing from trauma. And pretending to be a comedy when we all know you’re really a drama with snappy dialogue, and you’re not fooling anyone. You know the drill by now.
But, in the broader strokes, The Bear follows the fortunes of burned-out culinary genius Carmy Berzatto, who has returned—dare we say retreated?—from the world of Michelin stars to Chicago, in order to run his late brother’s sandwich shop. Last season left us on a bit of a cliffhanger, with a crucial restaurant review left unrevealed and star chef Sydney weighing her loyalty to Carmy against the fact that he’s kinda ripping her off. Seems the table is set for plenty of culinary drama (I am so sorry).
The cast of The Bear season 4
Jeremy Allen White is Carmy Berzatto; Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Richie Jerimovich, his short-fused cousin; Ayo Edebiri is gifted chef Sydney Adamu; Lionel Boyce is Marcus Brooks; Liza Colón-Zayas is Tina Marrero; Abby Elliott is Sugar Berzatto; and Matty Matheson is Neil Fak.
In addition, we’ve got Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendrix, Oliver Platt, Molly Gordon Ricky Staffieri, Christopher Zucchero, and Chris Witaske in recurring roles, plus guest appearances from Jamie Lee Curtis, David Zayas, Sarah Ramos, Andrew Lopez, Rene Gube, Brian Koppelman, and Will Poulter.

Why we’re excited about The Bear season 4
Well, season 3 didn’t quite get the rave reviews afforded the first two, and season 4 was shot back-to-back with season 3, so any problems are likely to remain. Having said that, “didn’t get rave reviews” in this case means the notices were just incredible rather than spectacular, so we’ll still be digging in (and we’re done).
