What is The Rookie season 7 about?
Our man Fillion is John Nolan, a Pennsylvania construction boss who foils a bank robbery and realises he really wants to be a cop. Moving to Los Angeles because the LAPD will take applicants over the age of 37, the middle-aged John becomes the oldest rookie on the force. Partnered up with experienced cop Angela Lopez, our well-meaning hero leans what it takes to be a cop, proving himself to doubtful Sergeant (later Lieutenant) Wade Grey. These days he’s a training officer, working to make the LAPD better (good luck!) and training new generations of cops.
