Win double passes to Flicks preview screenings of The Black Phone

We haven’t hosted preview screenings for a while, but are back with a bang – horror fans are getting an early chance to see The Black Phone.

UPDATE: Entries have now closed and winners contacted by email

A decade on from 2012 sleeper hit Sinister, Ethan Hawke reunites with director Scott Derrickson and his Doctor Strange co-writer C. Robert Cargill for this adaptation of Joe Hill’s New York Times Best Seller short horror story.

Finney, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, he starts to get help from an unlikely source.

Early buzz on this one is very strong – find out how to enter below.

The Black Phone releases in cinemas on July 21 – but we’re giving you a big head start with screenings on July 5:

Auckland: Event Cinemas Queen St at 6:30pm

Wellington: Lighthouse Cuba at 6:30pm

Christchurch: HOYTS EntX at 6:30pm

Can’t make it to any of these? We also have in-season double passes to be won. All prizewinners must be aged 16 or over as The Black Phone is classified R16 Horror, violence, domestic violence & offensive language.

Click here to enter – winners will be drawn and emailed on Friday July 1st.
