How’s it all work then?
If you’re a Flicks member, and you have movies or shows added to your watchlist, we want to let you know when those come out in cinemas or arrive on a streamer.
So, we'll ping you via either the app or email when things like that happen. (In your account’s settings you can choose how you receive notifications.)
Notifications are new.
We're starting to send notifications from May 2024. We'll start sending them gently, making sure they're useful and not annoying. So you may see only occasional notifications initially, but more and more as we ramp up (and only ever for those titles on your watchlist).
I want notifications, but I’m not getting them.
Log in to your account – check you’ve got everything switched on:
To get app notifications, you also need to have allowed notifications for the Flicks app in your phone's settings.
I don’t want notifications.
Don’t get them then. To unsubscribe from notifications, or to choose if you want them by app or email – log in to your Flicks account, go to your settings (the little cog at the top), and you can turn them off there.
This handy wee page doesn't help me.
