In 1928, exiled from his homeland, aspiring Soviet actor Lyovuschka poses as a wealthy baron at a glamorous German seaside resort while awaiting a barge that will take him to Hollywood. A summer romance begins when he meets an eccentric factory owner—it's just too bad there are vampires lurking around.
