Heaven's Gate

Michael Cimino's (The Deer Hunter) divisive, three and a half-hour western on the real-life Johnson County War in 1890 Wyoming, in which a Sheriff (Kris Kristofferson) born into wealth, attempts to protect immigrant farmers from rich cattle interests. Co-stars Christopher Walken and Isabelle Huppert.
