How to watch Dangerous Animals in New Zealand
G’day, chum!

What’s the only thing more dangerous than a shark? Jai Courtney, that’s what… and some more sharks. But he’s the crucial factor.
How to watch Dangerous Animals in New Zealand
Dangerous Animals is now playing in New Zealand cinemas.
What is Dangerous Animals about?
Tucker, a serial killer who likes to feed his victims to sharks from the deck of his decrepit, hulking dive boat. His hapless prey think they’re going on a shark diving expedition, and while technically that’s true, it tends to be without the benefit of a cage. But his latest victim, tough surfer chick Zephyr, may be a bit of a handful for our fish-obsessed felon, which leads to a battle of wills and one of the most ferocious horror movies we’ve seen in a while.
The cast of Dangerous Animals
Hassie Harrison is Zephyr; Jai Courtney is Tucker; Josh Heuston is Moses, a one night stand partner determined to track Zephyr down and likely to regret it; Ella Newton is Heather; Liam Greinke is Greg, and it’s probably not worth getting too attached to either of them; and Rob Carlton is Dave, a boozy old salt and, for our money, the real MVP here.

Why we’re excited about Dangerous Animals
Directed by Sean Byrne, who previously gave us the excellent The Loved Ones and The Devil’s Candy, Dangerous Animals is a cracker. It’s a mean little thriller that’s not short on gore or tension, expertly crafted to wring shrieks and cheers from a Friday night audience.
Jai Courtney delivers a spellbindingly grotesque performance as the villain of the piece, Hassie Harrison is amiably tough as his determined would-be victim, and you certainly get a lot of sharks for the price of a ticket. It may not be Jaws—because what is?—but it’s got the goods.
