How to watch Ironheart season 1 in New Zealand

Riri Williams suits up as Marvel’s new armoured hero.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe gets a new armoured hero as Ironheart gets her own streaming series.

How to watch Ironheart season 1 in New Zealand

Ironheart season 1 is streaming in New Zealand exclusively on Disney+ from June 25, 2025, with a triple episode premiere, followed by the next three episodes dropping weekly.

What is Ironheart season 1 about?

Following on from her brief appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart sees teen genius Riri Williams cobble together her very own Iron Man-style suit of powered armour while studying at noted brainiac bivouac, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT being Tony Stark’s alma mater, trivia fans). Decamping back to her hometown of Chicago to give this whole superhero thing a fling, she finds herself tangled up with Parker Robbins, who has found himself a hood that allows him to channel dark magical forces. There’s an almost 100% chance Robbins, who in the comics goes by the alias The Hood, flips from ally to enemy at some point, so there’s your central conflict.

The cast of Ironheart season 1

Dominique Thorne is Riri Williams, aka Ironheart; Anthony Ramos is Parker Robbins, who may or may not go by The Hood at some point (hard to say with minor MCU villains); Lyric Ross is Natalie Washington, Riri’s best friend; Anji White is Ronnie Williams, Riri’s mother; former Han Solo Alden Ehrenreich is Joe McGillicuddy, who appears to be a whole new character; Manny Montana is Cousin John; Matthew Elam is Xavier Washington; and Shea Couleé is the unfortunately named Slug. Plus, Community‘s Jim Rashis back as the Dean of MIT from Captain America: Civil War, and Regan Aliyah, Harper Anthony, Zoe Terakes, Shakira Barrera, Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola, Sonia Denis, Paul Calderón, Cree Summer, and Sacha Baron Cohen have been cast in roles that have yet to be revealed.
