Last night, Aotearoa’s television industry gathered for the 2022 New Zealand Television Awards. Hosted by Kura Forrester, the sold-out red carpet gala event at Auckland’s Shed 10 celebrated this year’s winners.
Picked by an esteemed judging panel (including Flicks’ own Steve Newall), big winners included The Panthers, which won eight awards including NZ On Air Best Drama, and The Pact, which took home Best Script for a drama series and three acting awards.
Other notable winners include Pax Assadi’s Raised by Refugees for Best Comedy, The Casketeers for Te Māngai Pāho Best Māori Programme, Scotty Cotter scoring Best Supporting Actor for ‘Kura, and Bird’s Eye View for NZ On Air Best Children’s Programme.
