Larry David's 20-year-strong script-less comedy series continues to surround his character with misfortunes, misunderstandings, and misnomers.

The unscripted comic vision of comic Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld. In Season 1 we meet his wife, Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), who gets cast in a production of The Vagina Monologues; his manager Jeff (Jeff Garlin); and friends/nemeses Susie (Susie Essman), Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

At a loose end and with Cheryl on his case, Larry tries to get a new sitcom off the ground (after an initial failed attempt to be a used car salesman). First he tries with Jason Alexander and, when that falls through, with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Features several classic episodes including 'Trick or Treat' in which Larry refuses candy to uncostumed teens, and 'Shaq' in which Larry accidentally trips and injures the Lakers center.

Along with Ted Danson, Michael York and Jeff, Larry goes in on a new high-end restaurant in L.A. While struggling to keep that ship afloat, Larry deals with the death of his mother, the ire of rapper Krazee-Eyez Killa after exposing his infidelity, and a chef who can't admit he's bald. Guest stars this season include Alanis Morisette, Paul Reiser and Martin Scorsese.

First alongside Ben Stiller and then David Schwimmer, Larry is cast in Mel Brook's musical The Producers. Meanwhile, Chery's anniversary gift to Larry is a one-time-only act of adultery, but Larry can't find a willing participant. This season also guest stars Candy Huffman and Christine Taylor.

After learning his may be adopted, Larry hires a private investigator to find the truth. Meanwhile, Richard Lewis needs a kidney transplant and Larry needs to decide if he's game. Elsewhere, Larry campaigns for a sandwich to be named after him, and finds himself stuck on a ski-lift with an Orthodox Jew.

Larry and Cheryl take in a family left homeless after a hurricane in New Orleans. This introduces us to future season regular Leon Black (J.B. Smoove). Meanwhile, Larry and Cheryl separate, Funkhouser accuses Larry of stealing his dead mother's funeral flowers, and Larry is required to publicly dispel rumours that he has a tickle in his anus. Season 6 features guest appearances from Steve Coogan, Ben Stiller and Lucy Lawless.

In effort to win back Cheryl, Larry spearheads a Seinfeld reunion show. But his desire to land her a main acting role puts him at odds with co-stars Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards. Season 7 features classic episodes 'The Bare Midriff' in which Larry asks his assistant to put it away, and 'The Black Swan' where Larry's role in the death of a golf club's swan puts his membership in doubt. Guest stars include Christian Slater, Rose O'Donnell and Elisabeth Shue.

The divorce is finalised, and Larry enjoys life as a single man. He's out there, Jerry. To avoid charity work, he temporarily relocates to New York with Leon (J.B. Smoove) where he invests in a car periscope and ignites feuds with Rosie O'Donnell, Ricky Gervais and Michael J. Fox.

Larry, with the help of Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, is writing a musical based on Salman Rushdie's fatwa. When this offends the Ayatollah, Larry finds himself with a death sentence. He adopts his Buck Dancer persona and moves into a hotel to hide. Meanwhile, Ted Danson starts dating Cheryl. Special guests this season include Bryan Cranstan (as Larry's therapist) and Rushdie himself.
