Totally Killer (October 6)

The 1980s called: they want their masked murderer back! Starring Kiernan Shipka, this horror-comedy sees a time-travelling teen chased back to Halloween night 1987, where three of her mother’s bitchy friends got murdered by a spooky stranger. Stuck in a real Marty McFly situation, Shipka must rewrite history to save some lives—she must also, as the trailer hilariously points out, survive the lameness of 80s marijuana. “I could give you a gummie this big that has 100 times more weed than this”, she complains to one of the stoned past-dwellers.

Pantheon: Seasons 1-2 (October 15)

How come we’ve never heard of this animated sci-fi drama? Rescued from cancellation after its first season was cruelly cut down by AMC, Pantheon has a 100% Fresh score on RT, and a fabulous voice cast that includes Paul Dano, Daniel Dae Kim, and William Hurt as a deceased genius billionaire. The speculative saga follows a bullied teen who gets to reunite with her late father—albeit in his new form as a Cloud-based ‘Uploaded Intelligence’—before attempting to tackle a global tech conspiracy.

Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles (October 24)

You’ve just earned a backstage pass to witness the rise of the gnarliest, rocking-est, Aussie-est acts of the all time: kids TV foursome The Wiggles! Ever since four blokes donned red, yellow, blue and purple skivvies, their children’s entertainment empire has blossomed into international popularity—and, admirably, a broader new ensemble showcasing the next generation of singin’, dancin’, finger-wigglin’ talent. This documentary will certainly bring out the snot-crusted little kid in all of us, chronicling the unlikely rise of a national treasure.
