The Road Dance
Inspired by true events, and adapted from the novel of the same name, this period drama centres on a young woman in a small community on the Isle of Lewis (off the coast of Scotland) in the years leading up to World War I. Kirsty (Hermione Corfield) dreams of a more exciting life, hoping to emigrate to the States with her love interest. But he’s called up to serve, and Kirsty herself faces the horrors of a sexual assault that leaves her pregnant—and with few options…
