Got a Feature Film Idea for Middle-Aged Kiwi Audiences? Here’s Your Shot

If you’re holding a killer movie idea in your brain just waiting to be discovered, now might be the time to let your genius loose onto the nation.

Vendetta Productions and South Pacific Pictures have sent a callout for Kiwi feature film ideas which would appeal to either a broad older audience (55 yearsand over) or a broad female audience (35 – 54 years). Comedic stories are favoured, but not essential.

The successful shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to workshop their ideas in a group setting under the guidance of Vendetta General Manager Jill Macnab, and SPP CEO Kelly Martin and Head of Development Rachel Jean.

The seed fund will be used to support each shortlisted creator to write up a Key Selling Proposal and Story Outline, and after receiving feedback, develop a detailed Treatment. The intention is that the two or three best ideas will be optioned and become part of Vendetta/SPP’s active development slate.

Successful applicants will be notified by 7 November and the workshop session will run late-November 2016 in Auckland.

Application deadline: Monday 3 October 2016, 5pm
