NZ box office report: Demon Slayer beats Downton Abbey to #1

Mirroring its release pretty much everywhere, anime sequel/film spinoff Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle raced to the top of the box office. It outpaced a very different flavour of small to big screen franchise extension in second-placed Downton Abbey: The Grand FinaleThe Conjuring: Last Rites scared up a few more ticket sales in its second week of release, in third spot and ahead of The Roses.

Here are the top 10 films at the Aotearoa box office, Sept 11-17:
