Ron Howard and Tom Hanks (and hairpiece?) Return for Third ‘Da Vinci Code’ Film

Oscar-winning director-actor buddies Ron Howard and Tom Hanks will return to the mystery-thriller scene with Inferno, the third film in the Robert Langdon series (2006’s The Da Vinci Code and 2009’s Angels & Demons) based on the literary phenomenon that has racked up a whopping $1.2 billion dollars worldwide.

The pair will be joined by Oscar-nominee Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Irrfan Khan (The Lunchbox), Sidse Babett Knudsen (TV’s Borgen) and Omar Sy (The Intouchables).

The third film continues the on-screen adventures of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia and teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s “Inferno.”

The trilogy is looking to set the world on fire.
