How to watch Peacemaker season 2 in New Zealand

The invisible bone has been thrown once more!

As Superman dominates the box office, Peacemaker returns to the small screen. There will be a lot more swearing.

How to watch Peacemaker season 2 in New Zealand

Peacemaker season 2 is streaming in New Zealand exclusively on NEON from August 22, 2025.

What is Peacemaker season 2 about?

It follows on from the events of Peacemaker season 1, in which our asshole hero fended off an alien invasion, rejected his father’s Nazism, and learned to be less of a jerk. We now find the silver-helmeted murder machine dealing with a vengeful Rick Flag Sr., who’s keen to have  a serious chat about the death of his son in The Suicide Squad; an eagle hunter with designs on his pet eagle, Eagly; and some kinda transdimensional nonsense that will probably explain the broader changes to the overall DC screen franchise.

The cast of Peacemaker season 2

Returning, we have John Cena as Chris Smith, aka Peacemaker, a douchy, hyperviolent thug trying really, really hard to be a good guy. Plus there’s Danielle Brooks as A.R.G.U.S. agent Leota Adebayo; Freddie Stroma as wannabe superhero/complete nutbar Adrian Chase, the Vigilante; Jennifer Holland as A.R.G.U.S. agent Emilia Harcourt; Steve Agee as A.R.G.U.S. agent and guy-in-the-chair John Economos: and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Peacemaker’s crazy racist dad.

New this season, we have Frank Grillo as former Creature Commandos leader Rick Flag Sr.; Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux; recent beneficiary of the Cat Distribution System Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury; and Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild, the world’s greatest eagle hunter.

A whole bunch of folks from Superman are showing up, too, tying DCEU remnant Peacemaker to the current DCU.

See? So much swearing!

Why we’re excited about Peacemaker season 2

John Cena was born to play this role, James Gunn has rarely put a foot wrong creatively, and we’re big, big fans of violence and cursing. All reports indicate that this season is even better than the first, so we are 100% on board.
