It’s official – Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is coming to New Zealand cinemas on October 13. Tickets are on sale from today – see here for times and cinemas near you (more sessions will be added over the coming hours and days).
Kiwi Swifties were dismayed first when Swift’s mega tour skipped Aotearoa, and again when it looked like this concert documentary wouldn’t land either. But the agony is over.
This film documents the Eras Tour, Swift’s on-going 2023-2024 series of concerts – 146 dates across five continents – which has turned into a cultural phenomenon thanks to outrageous ticket sales and her rabid fans. The tour is predicted to be the highest grossing ever, reaching an estimated $US 1 billion in revenue.
The documentary was filmed over three performances at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
