‘Shopping’ Checks Out at NZ Film Awards

Last night, the New Zealand Film Awards (AKA The Moas) dished out the ceremonious praise to our year in Kiwi filmmaking, with Louis Sutherland and Mark Albiston’s Shopping taking out top honours as the Rialto Channel Best Film winner, along with six other well-earned awards. Other notable honoraries include Andrew Adamson’s Mr. Pip with four wins (including Best Actor and Actress for Hugh Laurie and Xzannjah) and White Lies with two wins while smaller films, Crackheads and Gardening with Soul, also made their mark. Beloved Kiwi filmmaking great Geoff Murphy (Utu Redux) was also honoured with a lifetime achievement award.
