How to watch Black Widow at home (without the big price tag)

After years of playing the character, Scarlett Johansson finally leads her own Marvel film as Black Widow—and now it’s available to watch at home.

Black Widow, the first movie entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 2021, had a pretty rough initial release. After numerous delays, it finally came to theatres at a time where the world hadn’t got control of the COVID-19 pandemic (and at the time of writing still hasn’t). Keen punters were able to watch it at home for a premium price but the move led to a huge lawsuit between the film’s star Scarlett Johansson and The Walt Disney Company (we won’t bore you with the details).

But after that rocky start, Black Widow‘s found solid ground and is now available to watch at home for Disney+ subscribers—free from the added ‘Premier Access’ price tag.

Set in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, this solo Black Widow film sees Natasha Romanoff (Johansson) confronting her dark past. Naturally, this kicks off a reunion with her badass family members played by Florence Pugh (Midsommar), David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite).

“Despite the stakes of the fiery climax being predictably enormous, this is a much, much more grounded film than most of the recent MCU entries,” Flicks writer Daniel Rutledge mentioned in his review.

If you’re a Disney+ subscriber, Black Widow‘s available to watch right now from the comfort of your own screen.
