When will Yellowjackets season 2 be released in New Zealand?

Yellowjackets is returning! One of most talked about series of recent years will be back on our screens before long, replete with all the mystery, backstabbing, ‘90s bangers, and dark hints of cannibalism you’ve come to know and love. Circle your calendars, soccer fans, because Yellowjackets season 2 hits Neon on March 24.

For those who came in late, Yellowjackets follows the members of a girls’ soccer team—the titular Yellowjackets—who survived a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness back in 1996, despite being left to their own devices, Lord of the Flies style, for 19 months.

But in the modern day, the now-grown Yellowjackets are faced with the very real possibility that someone is out to expose the awful things they did to survive in the wilderness (we mentioned cannibalism, yeah?).

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets sports an insanely good cast, with the adult former team members played by Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, and a show-stealing Christina Ricci, while their younger counterparts include Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, and Live Hewson. That’s a lot of ‘90s icons in one show, and they’re being joined by another this season, with Eliah Wood sliding into the ensemble as a “citizen detective” looking into the situation.

Season 1 climaxed with team captain Jackie (Ella Purnell) freezing to death and revealed that Lottie, played but Mad Max: Fury Road’s Courtney Eaton in the flashbacks and Simone Kessell in the modern day, is alive and may have been responsible for the team’s turn to people-eatin’ in the aftermath of the crash. Obviously season 2 is going to follow up that thread, but rest assured Yellowjackets is sure to have more tasty treats in store for us.  Get ready to dig in…
