As May rolls out the mid-Autumn weather, NEON’s got a heap of new films and series to keep you company.
This year’s winner of Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards, Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman tells the cannot-believe-it’s-actually-true story of the black cop and his Jewish partner who co-infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan. “May be the most accessible, and perhaps most entertaining, work of Lee’s latter day career” Flicks’ Katie Parker wrote in a 5-star review, “it is also his most important.”
Another true story thriller, HBO series Chernobyl puts Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson in the middle of one of the worst man-made disasters in history.
A few more releases to take notice of:
Ant-Man and the Wasp arrives a week after Avengers: Endgame‘s cinematic release.
Fast and Furious 6 and its infinite airplane runway comes to NEON.
Check out the original animated Mulan before we get director Niki Caro’s live-action version next year.
And you probably saw Pixar’s Incredibles 2 in cinemas (it made SO much money), but it’s absolutely worth a (re-re-re-)re-watch.
